Every project is worked through in stages, from early briefing and site understanding through to design, approvals and construction. Each step builds on the last, helping to resolve key issues early and keep the project moving forward without unnecessary complications.

Initial Briefing & Site Assessment
We begin by understanding your objectives, priorities and what you’re trying to achieve. The site is then assessed independently, including planning controls, physical conditions, climate and surrounding context.
Considering both separately, then together, provides a clear and realistic foundation for the project, without unnecessary redesign or overworked options.

Master Planning &
Concept Sketches
With a clear brief and understanding of the site, we move into master planning to test how your project sits on the land. This is the ‘big picture’ stage, where we look at programming, staging and budgets to confirm what can realistically be achieved.
Once a direction is agreed, concept sketches are used to explore the form of the building and how it relates to its environment. These sketches test layout options and authority requirements early, giving you a clear understanding of the design before moving into detailed documentation.

Detailed Design &
Documentation
The agreed concept is developed into a detailed design, coordinating with consultants to resolve structure, materials and construction requirements. We prepare and manage the approval process with the relevant authorities, responding to queries and keeping things moving.
The final documentation is produced to clearly communicate how the project is to be built, reducing the need for interpretation during construction and helping avoid unnecessary changes on site.

Construction
Administration
We assist in selecting suitable builders and managing the tender process, ensuring they have the information needed to provide clear and comparable quotations. During construction, we remain involved to review the works, clarify details and monitor progress on site.
This helps keep the project aligned with the design and reduces the risk of issues arising later.
Following completion, the building can be reviewed during the defects period to ensure any outstanding items are addressed before final sign-off.
