Award winning local Medical Centre
Doctors’ rooms in the Shoalhaven have traditionally operated from converted residences or within office buildings. The Nowra Medical Centre sets a new benchmark for consulting rooms, purpose-designed for a specialist area of health care. The building will house an orthopaedic practice and associated consulting rooms in addition to X-ray facilities, providing a consolidated service for patients.
The waiting area and reception have been designed for easy access and the comfort of patients giving consideration to a northerly aspect and protection from the west. The central administration area records storage and meeting room allow for the efficient management of the practice. A basement car park with a lift to the reception provides secure covered access for both staff and patients.
While the building is located on the traditional entry to the town centre, it has been designed in a bold contemporary form responding to the evolving character of the street and reflecting the ‘state of the art technology associated with a modern medical practice.
